The Galway Races

It’s official, the Galway Races are finally here! This has to be one of Ireland’s most loved events year in year out. From the excitement of winning in Ballybrit to dancing the night away at the Radisson, the delicious food and street performers filling the city with an electric buzz that you can almost feel the hairs on your arm stand up, the Galway races have it all!

One of the first things everything thinks of when we plan of heading to the races is what on earth do you wear? The norm is a suit but you don’t always have to be wearing a three piece suit to look dapper! I’ve put together a few different options that would look great.
Race Look 1

  • Blazer: Selected Homme
  • Navy wool knit: Selected Homme
  • Chinos: Selected Homme
  • Shirt: Marnelli
  • Brogue: Brent Pope (Style: Papa)

I love the fact that you still look extremely smart even when you take off the blazer. This is a win win for me!

Race Look 2

  • Blazer: Selected Homme
  • Shirt: Remus
  • Waistcoat: Benetti
  • Chinos: Selected
  • Brogue: Tommy Bowe, Llyod & Pryce.

This attire is bound to turn heads for best dressed. It boasts elegance and style without being too loud. It’s extremely comfortable too which is very important!

Both of these outfits are available from Detail Menswear, Carlow.

Here are some of my favourite looks & inspo from Pinterest.

Enjoy the races & thanks for reading,

A suite weekend at COLDPLAY

Hey guys,

I can only imagine the FOMO some of you are having after watching Coldplay videos & pictures  all over social media! For those of you that were there, I’m sure you’ll agree it was unbelievable!

By the way, is it just me or does this concert seem to have gone viral?! Anyway…
So I didn’t actually know I was going to this concert at all until my legend of a gf casually told me two days before the show! Thanks Fi..!

The venue was in Croke Park Stadium, Dublin.

So with little time to plan an outfit I headed to the shops to see what I could find and I have to say I found some pretty nice deals!

•Tee: Penneys €9

•Jeans: Topman €37

•Runners: Adidas Superstar Quilt €65 (reduced from €95), JD Sports.

I wore this grey denim shirt over the tee and it was perfect when we were sitting outside.

It was reduced in Penney’s too! €7 from €16 Bargain!!

•Grey Shirt: Penneys €7

Sunglasses: Rayban €129

The white strap on my wrist was actually a light, we were all given them when we arrived. They changed colour with the music! It looked class in the dark!

They say that the best place for a concert is standing on the ground level but we were in the stand and it was great craic.

The suite we were in was nice and would hold around 30 people comfortably. It has top class views and you’ve the option of staying inside or sitting out. I’ll give you a look now!

Also for corporate suite tickets the food & drink is always complementary which is really good. There’s no queuing for the bar or for the toilets either which is SO good for events like this.

Peter looked after us for the evening, a gentleman.

There was a choice of hot & cold foods. All delicious, especially the desserts!

Delicious tomato & olive salad.
Spicy wings with a view!

The food for the evening.

The crowd getting settled in! The weather couldn’t have been better, the heat was unreal & the blue skies looked class! You couldn’t but be buzzing, atmosphere was second to none in Croker.

Fi and the famous bird tee everyone was commenting on! The birds change colour!😎

•It was €9 in Penneys!

Filling up!

That’s a lot of people!

The stage was spectacular too!

The pictures say it all!

I just couldn’t help myself!! Lethal sweet tooth! And yes, they were unreal!

•These Superstars were class and teamed perfectly with the green tee.

They have a quilt like finish to them which is so different that the typical leather look.

When you haven’t eaten all day and the menu is class!!

Always have a unreal time with this girl, thanks for an unbelievable weekend Fi.
